Everyone can write an ordinary article, but not everyone can write a great poem. This is because writing a poem is very different from writing ordinary texts.
To write a poem well, one must have a good sense of rhythm and a good command of language to be able to find words that rhyme and sound right. This is already a challenging task for many writers.
On top of that, to write a moving poem, writers should ideally have enough life experience so that they know what to write for different moments. This is easier said than done. Often, poems have the tendency to sound too airy - they don't sound real in our world when recited. The challenge here is to keep the poems grounded with hints of real life experiences sprinkled in the poems.
